We hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving season with friends and family. We are grateful for some good news we recently heard from the USASF. There was a slight increase in athlete memberships from the 17-18 to the 18-19 season, which indicates that all star is growing! Thanks to each of you for your efforts to grow the community of all star cheer and dance. We are proud to be your partner in this endeavor.

Now, here’s your update on what’s New, Now, Next from Varsity All Star!

🏆 The Varsity Pinnacle Award
Varsity All Star is celebrating individuals across the country who embody the characteristics and worth ethic to be recognized by their peers as #AllStarStrong with the Varsity Pinnacle Award. The Pinnacle Awards have been a great success at The Summit and D2 Summit over last few years, so this year we are bringing it to every region of the USA. The goal of the Pinnacle Awards is to recognize and highlight extraordinary athletes and teams that display characteristics of teamwork, dedication, confidence and leadership. Nominations will be collected by event, so watch your inbox for links to nominate teams at events near you!

Pass the Mat
The Pass the Mat award allows teams to recognize other teams who display excellence in discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork. If your team is given a mat square this season labelled with the Pass the Mat logo on it, congratulations! Receiving this award means your athletes were recognized by another team as hardworking, disciplined and great sports. Pass the Mat at your next competition to a new team, and spread the respect. The mats will travel from team to team, gathering messaging all season long. Free Admission for Coaches
Don’t forget that all eligible USASF coaches can attend any Varsity All Star event as a spectator for free! Simply show your USASF ID and valid photo ID at coaches check in and you’ll be given a free spectator pass. Make your plans now to check out more Varsity All Star events this season. Battle in the Arena Athlete Announcement 🚨
We are so excited to announce that the 3^rd Annual Battle in the Arena, Varsity’s most exclusive tumbling competition, had the most athlete entries ever! The 40 finalists have been announced and we are excited to see them take the floor. Join us in Dallas, on Friday, February 28, 2020 at NCA All-Star Nationals to witness the battle between these top tumblers. Q: Can Varsity All Star share who the judges are at events?
A: Yes! Pay attention at events for announcements, and where available, check the screens to see who our awesome panel judges are at each event! Also, coming soon, we will have a section on the scoring page that will feature our stellar judges throughout the season.

Q: Can coaches get block schedules for 2-day events a month out from the event so we can reduce our hotel needs if possible?
A: Yes! We are working hard this season to ensure that all 2-day events have a block schedule posted at least 4 weeks out from the event.

Q: Can all Varsity All Star brands follow the same registration guidelines?
A: Yes! New in 19-20, you can expect all registration deadlines, and terms and conditions to be the same at all Varsity All Star events.
