What is The Varsity Cheer League?

“League” is defined as a group of sports clubs which play each other over a period for a championship. The Varsity Cheer League embodies this definition as a series of regular season events that will add up to crown overall season champions across all levels and age groups.

  • The Varsity Cheer League is a season-long points race that emphasizes the importance of competitions throughout the regular season
  • The Varsity Cheer League includes avenues for Youth, Junior & Senior cheer teams
  • Each event will be assigned points based on the size of the competition
  • Team points are earned by placements at events

How are points earned?

  1. Events are assigned point values pre-season and teams can build their event schedule with these in mind.
  2. Everyone is in The Varsity Cheer League! There is no minimum requirement, but winners will be calculated by combining a team’s six highest points earned during the regular season and displayed on the leaderboard. Maximize your chances of success by competing at least six times at participating events.
  3. Follow along on The Varsity Cheer League Leaderboard for weekly updates on all star cheer standings and check out additional coverage on Varsity TV!

For full placement point values, see the dropdown titled "The Varsity Cheer League Points System" below.
