Zoe Thomas – All Things Cheer – Bellevue, WA

You will not find a better team player and leader, or a more dedicated athlete, who has more confidence in herself and her team then Zoe Thomas from Eastside Edge. She emerged early on as natural leader and works hard to set the standard for both of her competitive teams. Zoe is also a Junior athlete coach to the Eastside Edge Mini team and volunteers her time coaching them, pouring herself into build the next generation. Zoe works hours at the gym to pay for her own tuition and fundraises almost every cost associated with this sport on her own. When not working hard in the gym, she spends time striving in her academics. Holding a 3.7+ GPA while enrolled in honors courses, she hopes to enter the medical field to continue her passion of helping others.

“She is the first athlete to give compliments, critiques, motivation, and high fives. She is the type of leader who creates more leaders.” – Alyssa Mendoza, Eastside Edge

Ali Schuster – Athletic Championships – Columbus, OH

Taking her senior year by storm, Ali Schuster of Spirit Athletics is working hard to ensure her success caries her into the future.

“She is the definition of student athlete and role model, always Pushing to be the best and showing younger athletes to never give up and reach for their dreams.” – James Naugle, Spirit Athletics

Ali has a full course load at her local high school, taking 3 AP classes and maintains a 3.9 GPA. She is also a peer tutor at a neighboring high school, helping younger kids excel in their coursework. Aside from cheering on two teams at Spirit Athletics, she also coaches two of the younger teams in the program. To say that she is a determined young lady is a understatement! She pushes, drives, and encourages everyone around her by setting the standard of excellence and encouraging others to achieve their goals. With a bright future ahead, Ali hopes to continue cheering at Indiana University or Morehead State University in the Fall.

Abby Lyons – Coastal Cheer & Dance – National Harbor, MD

Abby Lyons of Regal All Stars works hard to display discipline and leadership through both cheer and dance. While Abby isn’t training as an all star cheerleader or hip hop dancer, she’s also cheering for her varsity high school team, coaching Regal’s CheerAbilities team, or working with Special Olympics of Maryland. Abby recently completed a Spartan race, and next up, she will tackle the challenge of running her first marathon.

“We love to hear how she leads with her heart and inspires others to become the very best version of themselves. Excellent work, Abby” – Tina Sexton, Coastal Cheer & Dance

Avery Pugh – Spirit Sports Cheer & Dance – Palm Springs, CA

Avery Push from Strut Performing Arts has always shown an interest in the pursuit of excellence in and outside the studio; she has been exposed to years of rigid training and what it takes to balance academics and outside activities on a day to day basis.

“Avery is the epitome of leadership, selflessness, and exudes the core meaning of what it is to be a stellar teammate.” – Hollie Bettencourt, Strut Performing Arts

This athlete is not only leading by example in the studio, she has also changed her High School’s culture and way of life on campus. Avery founded the Paradigm Program at Beyer High School. The Paradigm Dance Project seeks to shift the paradigm of dance as most people see it by teaming general education students with physically, mentally and emotionally challenged students together to dance. Her vision was to have dance unite the students by empowering them as a team, to support each other – benefiting the mind, body and spirit of each dancer.  Avery is always thinking of ways to push the boundaries to ensure her peers are heard, protected and well served.
