Heat Athletics Works Their Way Up In The All Star World

Since 2004 Heat Athletics from Sussex, Wisconsin has been growing a super star all star program. From two coaches to thirty, they’ve been busy adding teams, coaches, and skills to their cheer family.

This weekend, the gym is returning to the UCA Milwaukee Championship, which they’ve been competing at since they started.

It’s a great competition for us because all of our local families get to cheer on the teams and it’s a well run competition.

“Last year our Senior 3 team earned their bid to the International All Star Cheerleading Championship and took first place!,” Sean Mars, the owner of Heat Athletics told us before the 2017 competition.

The strengths of the overall program are strong foundational techniques. Their strategy is to hit the score sheet with the mastery of overall technique and the more basic fundamentals. The teams do have an overall style, but a few teams have music and flare that really stand out.

“Each team has music that really shows off their personality…specifically Firebolt & Inferno. These are two teams of athletes that have grown together for years and are thriving this season. Inferno was a Level 2 Junior team last season and have tackled the challenge of moving on to Level 3. Firebolt has so much strength, power and big personalities…their music is a reflection of them!,” said Sean.

FUN FACT: Most (if not all) of the voiceovers were contributed by the team!

Heat Athletics is ready to head into 2018 on fire, making a name for themselves in their 14th year on the all star scene. Watch the teams compete LIVE on Saturday at the 2018 UCA Milwaukee Championship.
