Friday Night LIVE: Cheerleaders Team Up For St. Jude

Tonight 19 Level 5 all star teams performed without the hopes of a taking home a 1st place trophy but with a goal to raise as much money as possible for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Leading up to CHEERSPORT Nationals 2017 in Atlanta, GA these teams have been fundraising for St. Jude and spreading awareness through their team social media accounts.

“It’s a very humbling experience and we are so happy to come out here and we are doing this for the kids,” explained Stingray Orange Super Senior, Chandler Stephens.

It’s amazing how all of these people have come together, like a big family raising money for such a good cause and I couldn’t be more thankful to be a part of it.

Fans watching not only get the opportunity to give back to a great organization but they can choose the Fan Favorite Team by tweeting their favorite squad’s hashtag.

Twist & Shout Diamonds rocks the stage while raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

St. Jude representatives were on-site all evening long to accept donations on behalf of fan favorite teams. In 2016, the total raised was $45,000, In 2017, the squads have raised over $60,000 so far for St. Jude!

“I’m completely blown away. I have so much confidence in the all star community, you all are just know for going above and beyond in everything that you do,” said St. Jude Representative Markie Malloof.

St. Jude is so lucky to have supporters like the cheerleading community.

The Fan Favorite winners will be announced on Monday during the CHEERSPORT Bid Reveal show. Winners are determined by the most money raised and fan votes through hashtags from the entire weekend.
