Brandon was first introduced to cheerleading when he was 12 years old. His mother was an all star coach and she suggested that he attend one practice to see if it appealed to him. Brandon was hooked from that first night and continued to be on an all star team for 6 years. He was able to compete at The Cheerleading Worlds two years in a row, finishing in the top ten his first year. Brandon soon applied and accepted a position working for the National Cheerleaders Association as a camp instructor, and in various roles at competitions for over 9 years. Growing in his roles, Brandon decided to become a certified judge for Varsity All Star and was awarded the 2018 Rookie Judge of the Year Award.
``Judging gives me the opportunity to continue my love of the sport. I have always been interested in judging and after discussing it with several friends who are in the industry, I decided that it was the next logical step in my career. While I enjoy working behind the scenes at competitions, I truly look forward to judging at as many competitions as I can throughout the season. I absolutely love traveling all over for competitions, affording me the opportunity to see different teams and styles throughout the country.``
Candi started her cheerleading journey as an NCA summer camp instructor and was a high school coach for 25 years, winning multiple state titles. Her teams traveled to competitions in Australia, Hawaii, and Ireland and participated in the Peach Bowl, Aloha Bowl, Pro Bowl, Orange Bowl and the Down Under Bowl. Candi has judged events on the national level for 35 years, including every CHEERSPORT Nationals event since its inception! Judging has also allowed Candi to travel to various countries including Australia, Canada, Chile, England & Scotland. Candi is a recipient of the Varsity All Star Legacy Award. When not judging, she enjoys spending time with her husband and eating jalapeños for breakfast!
``I judge for Varsity All Star because it gives me the opportunity to stay involved in the activity I love. I enjoy getting to see teams from around the country, as well as, internationally. I also enjoy the opportunity to meet up with friends from around the world, through the sport we all LOVE.``
Charlotte was a teacher and coached cheerleading for 28 years before retiring. Her cheerleading squads won numerous awards on a local, regional, state, and national level. Charlotte was named Who's Who Among American HS Cheerleading Coaches by American Cheerleading Magazine and in 2008 AMC honored her by inducting her into the Hall of Fame of Cheerleading Coaches. In addition to this award, she also received the Pinnacle Award from Cheer Ltd. which recognized the top cheerleading coaches in the U.S. During her coaching years, she participated in events internationally such as the Down Under Bowl in Australia and marched in The St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland. Along with these, she participated in numerous bowl games, as well as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. Over the past 32 years, Charlotte has judged all over the U.S., and internationally, in countries such as Australia, Canada, Chile, and England. Since 2006, she has had the privilege of judging The Cheerleading Worlds. For the past 29 summers, Charlotte has worked for Varsity as a camp administrator assisting and conducting cheer and dance camps.
``I absolutely love judging for Varsity, and I take my job very seriously. Whether I'm judging or working camps, it is my true passion. Varsity has given me so many opportunities to travel the world and meet new friends, which I consider my Cheer Family.``
Denise has been joyfully involved in the cheer and dance industry for over 30 years as a competitor, coach, consultant, keynote speaker, subjective judge and safety judge. Denise has been blessed to judge national, international and world bid cheerleading competitions for many of the top cheerleading companies across the world from Dallas to England! She is the proud inaugural recipient of the Varsity All Star Honor and Legacy Award. It is her honor to be a ten-time Worlds Judge. Also, she has had the pleasure of judging The Summit, The D2 Summit and The U.S. Finals.

Karen graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in education. She is a cheerleading professional with over 30 years of experience, including a wide variety of roles as an athlete, coach, all star gym owner, choreographer, consultant, and judge. For the past 11 years, she has had the privilege to judge throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. She has served as a panel judge, head judge, stand manager, and/or scoring official for Champions League, The Majors, and a variety of Varsity All Star events. She has been honored to judge The Cheerleading Worlds since 2013.
``I choose to judge for Varsity All Star because of the people. Whether it’s the judges I’m partnered with, the coaches I talk to in Accuscore, or the event producers hustling around to make the event happen, it’s the people who motivate me to come back, year after year.``
Port St. Lucie, FL
Kyle was an all star cheerleader throughout middle and high school, followed by coaching for many years after that. In 2012, she was introduced to the judging world by her now partner-in-crime, Alison Dytko, and has had the pleasure of serving Varsity in many capacities ever since. Kyle works as an Accuscore official for Spirit Cheer, PacWest, and American Cheer Power, while also serving on panel as a building judge for The Cheerleading Worlds, The Summit, The D2 Summit, NCA All-Star Nationals, UCA International All Star Championships, CHEERSPORT Nationals, and the MAJORS/Jamfest Cheer Super Nationals. Kyle was awarded the 2019 Best All Around Judge of the Year Award. She is a practicing financial litigation attorney in South Florida, and was recently promoted to managing attorney for her entire department. In her free time, Kyle enjoys reading, the beach, and spending time with her family, friends and puppy.

Lauren has been involved in the cheerleading industry for 25 years as an instructor, coach, speaker, choreographer, gym owner and judge. She cheered competitively at Florida International University, was the head cheerleading coach and spirit coordinator at Georgia Tech, and has been a contributing writer for both American Cheerleader Magazine and Cheer Biz News. In addition to judging for various brands across the US including the Cheerleading Worlds, The Summit, The D2 Summit and NCA College Nationals, Lauren has also judged internationally in Australia, Germany, Costa Rica and Canada. Lauren was the 2018 Recipient of the Varsity All Star Excellence in Leadership Award. She has been a choreographer and show director for the Hula Bowl halftime show and has appeared on the David Letterman Show and MTV’s Real World Road Rules Challenge. Lauren has a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She enjoys a good workout, yoga and being with her awesome husband Jason and 3 boys. She also loves traveling, cooking, making jewelry, and oh....shoes!
``There are many reasons I choose to judge for Varsity All Star. As an 18 year old, getting hired to work as an NCA instructor was a dream come true. And I have never looked back. That was what propelled me into judging and into the all star industry. It’s a privilege to be a part of the sport that helped mold and shape me into the woman I am today. Beyond that, it’s amazing to watch this sport evolve and to witness the incredible athleticism displayed by today’s all star athletes. Last but not least, I’ve met some amazing people through judging who share the same passion for the industry, and these people will be friends for life.``
Niclas cheered as an all star athlete and was an NCA instructor and head instructor for 5 years. He cheered at The University of Louisville and served as an assistant coach for 4 years. He went on to be an all star director at a DI program for 10 plus years. Niclas is credited with bringing the first Worlds eligible team to Illinois, winning 13 World Championships and 60 plus NCA National Championship titles while coaching, as well as competing. During the summer months, he serves as a speaker at Varsity University. In his spare time, he runs a nutrition and strength company, and competes as a national level body builder.
``I choose to judge for Varsity All Star because I believe in our system, and the non-stop growth to improve what we do for the athlete. It’s important to me that we remember the excitement of cheerleading and what all star is about, and I believe we are constantly embodying change and growth for the sport.``
Robert is a former gymnast, yell-leader and Coach for the Wichita State University Spirit Squad. He is a former Collegiate All-American for the National Cheerleaders Association and performed in the opening ceremonies of the 1996 Summer Olympics. He was named in the Who's Who of Favorite College Cheerleading Coaches and once received the Cheerleading Coach of the Year for the state of Kansas. He has been adjudicating cheerleading and dance competitions for the past 25 years at the all star, school and collegiate level. Robert is a graduate of Wichita State University with a dual degree in Business Administration and Secondary Education. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Leadership. He Worked for the Wichita Public Schools for nearly 30 years as a Teacher, Principal and Executive Director of Secondary Schools. Robert is currently the CEO/President of Youth Horizons in Wichita, Kansas.
``I choose Varsity All Star because of its commitment to impact the lives of our youth. I wholeheartedly believe that Varsity All Star focuses not only on the athletic abilities, but it equally focuses on the personal development of the athlete. Teamwork, hard work, leadership, commitment, family, pride, respect, are descriptors that define what I believe Varsity All Star is all about. As a former educator I believe we as adults have a huge role in the social emotional development of the youth in our communities.``
Rosann has been a part of the cheerleading industry for the past 40 years. She brings over 30 years of cheerleading experience to the judging panel, through coaching, former cheerleader and gymnast. As a Certified Varsity All Star judge, she has experience judging levels 1-7 including her favorite division, CheerAbilities. Rosann has been fortunate to judge for many Varsity brands including: All Star Challenge, CHEERSPORT, NCA, Spirit Cheer, Cheer Ltd. and Coastal. Her growing experience has allowed her to be selected to judge at The Summit and The D2 Summit for a number of consecutive years. Fun fact: Rosann is a Licensed Medical Social Worker and has worked several years in a hospital providing support, education and resources to patients, families and a team of medical professionals.
``I appreciate that Varsity All Star provides comprehensive training and support for coaches, athletes and judges. This is a big reason they are leaders within the all star cheerleading industry. I applaud Varsity and the various judging coordinators for focusing on the athletes and providing opportunities for them. By promoting the importance of positive character, image and giving back to the community, Varsity helps these young women and men to shine. I have met so many friends through varsity that have mentored me throughout my judging years. Varsity welcomed me into their family and now so many of my fellow judges are a second family to me.``
Ryan has judged at the USASF / IASF Cheerleading Worlds since 2013. He is a certified judge in all categories for Varsity All Star and is also a USASF Certified Legality Judge. Ryan has judged for both The Summit and The D2 Summit, and often serves as an Accuscore official. Ryan cheered at the University of Colorado and professionally for the Denver Nuggets of the NBA. Ryan judges all over the United States, and internationally for National and Worlds Bid events in Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. This season, Ryan took home the 2019 Varsity All Star Excellence in Leadership Award. In addition to cheerleading, Ryan performed in the Broadway National Tour of Legally Blonde the Musical.

Loma Linda, MO
Sheila has traveled nationally and internationally as a cheer and dance judge, commentator, and score representative. Additionally, she has served as a judge for a variety of notable events such as The Cheerleading Worlds, Cheer Alliance, The Majors, The Summit, The U.S. Finals, and JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals. Throughout a regular event season, Sheila serves as a panel judge, Accuscore official, stand manager, and customer service representative to improve the quality of scoring. She is skilled in problem-solving, while maintaining an open and inviting rapport with staff and customers where they feel comfortable to ask questions and receive constructive feedback. Aside from judging, she has also coached all star cheerleading and has served as a collegiate head cheer and dance coach in Oklahoma. Sheila received the 2019 Most Dedicated Judge Award.
