Zodiac All Stars Shadow Goes Back To Back At The Summit!

Zodiac All Stars Shadow made history today as the first team from England to win back-to-back championship titles at The Summit!

The International Junior Level 1 team was ranked first with a solid lead coming out of Semi-Finals. Shadow was 5.44 points ahead of the next competitor in the division!

Day 1 was great and Shadow's routine in Finals was no different. The team showcased incredible flexibility and skill on the mat and the HP Field house went wild as the team hit another zero-deduction routine.

"We hit better than yesterday in my opinion," Coach Andrew Wicks told Varsity TV. "They were a little bit nervous but I am super proud of them."

The most impressive thing about Zodiac All Stars Shadow is their sharp, clean lines and impeccable flexibility. In just their opening stunt sequence, the athletes on Shadow hit an elite body position more than 10 times!

"Brienne choreographed the entire routine start to finish and we worked tirelessly on execution and lots of flexibility and they did it justice," Wicks added. "It's taken us since about September to get it looking this tight and we've trained about 20 hrs in the past five days since we've been in the US. We actually trained for about an hour yesterday before we even knew if we made Finals, just in case."

After Finals, Wicks and Choreographer Brienne Thompson-Fields were beyond proud of their athletes and they hoped that their hard work would soon pay off at awards making them the first team from England to go back-to-back at The Summit.

"That's the dream. Last year was really unexpected," Wicks explained. "We ended up being better than what we thought we were. It would be the dream to go back-to-back but in all honesty, we told the kids that if they can hold on to this feeling than that is more important."

Zodiac All Stars Shadow's dreams just came true and this talented International Junior Level 1 is leaving Orlando victorious!

"I love them, I love them and what's better is that they love each other. They singlehandedly show good sportsmanship, great ethics, hard work, determination and hopefully it pays off for them." – Andrew Wicks
