Teams heading to Duel in the Desert this weekend can come ready to show their best performance on the floor and then celebrate their accomplishments in one of the most beautiful cities in the country: Palm Springs, California! 

Duel in the Desert takes place at the Palm Springs Convention Center. This 261,000 square foot convention center has tons of things surrounding it to make your stay even better!

There are so many great places to grab a bite to eat within walking distance of the convention center. Some restaurants close by are  Kalura Trattoria Italiana, Bill’s Pizza Palm Springs, Love At First Bite Catering, Cafe Palmetto, and many more!

Palm Springs is a beautiful city that you need to take advantage of exploring. To get the best view, ride the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. These trams are the world’s largest rotating tram cars! When you get to the Tram’s Mountain Station, you'll reach 8,516 feet elevation where it is 30 degrees cooler than the desert floor. While you're at the Tram’s Mountain Station, you can dine in one of the two restaurants while enjoying the great view!

Looking to relax after putting in hard work on the mat? The Desert Imax Theatre is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy a movie in your choice of 2D or 3D.

While you're in the area, you don't want to miss the opportunity to check out new Starbucks Reserve in Palm Springs! This hot location is less than one mile away from the convention center. Get your coffee before a full day of watching top cheerleading teams in the country!
