Feeling like a queen in Windsor

First stop: Exploring Windsor

Once off the coach we walked down to a shopping center and busy city streets before touring the castle. Our tour guide gave us various interesting facts about the town – one fact I thought was pretty funny is that Queen Victoria didn’t like the statue of her outside the castle. Throughout the town are multiple cafes, shops, and boutiques. We got the chance to walk around and enjoy the gorgeous town!!

Second stop: Touring the Historic Castle

We walked our way up the hill to the castle and waited in “the que” to go inside. We were all given a headset to take a guided audio tour. There were so many rooms I lost count, but each was more breathtaking than the last. Sadly no pictures are allowed inside, but trust me – the interior was more regal than you could imagine. The tour walked us through some of this country’s most historical rooms where the Monarchy has hosted guests for centuries. We saw some of the Royal Collection, including ancient armor, china and furniture. My favorite thing to see was the ballroom where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding reception was held. We also got to visit where they married in St. George Chapel, which is also within the walls of the castle.

Last stop: Hotel for rehearsals!

Once back from our day visiting the amazing town of Windsor we met to rehearse our All-American routine for the London New Year’s Day parade! I can’t wait to “make the march” into 2020!
