“There’s nowhere else like London. Nothing at all, anywhere.” – Vivienne Westwood

We just finished Day 3 here at #VarsityLondon and these Varsity All-Americans had quite the adventure in the big city! Some families went off on their own explorations while many participants hung out with their Varsity Staff Escort to choose their own journey around different historical sites and shopping plazas. Here are a few of the main spots that these All-Americans visited today in London!

Tower of London

With the ticket included in our All-American package, the Tower of London was a must-see! As we walked through the historical walls, we were able to read stories of London history, see royal family photos and learn about the royal beasts that once were held in the tower. The best part of all was seeing the Crown Jewels with our very own eyes!

London Eye

One of the most distinct landmarks of the city is the big Ferris wheel, the London eye. This 30-minute ride took us all the way up to the tippy-top point of the city where we were able to see streets and sights for miles. Many All-Americans along with their escorts took in all the magic as they saw the city from a whole new perspective.

Piccadilly Square

The ultimate shopping and dining experience took place at the Piccadilly Square! All-Americans searched for the perfect souvenirs and did some post-Christmas shopping at one of the largest shopping plazas in the city. Once we shopped ‘til we dropped, the next thing on the menu was definitely some traditional British fish’n’chips!

Stay tuned tomorrow for our day at Windsor Castle and as always be sure to use the hashtag #VarsityLondon to see all of our adventures.
