Varsity TV & Friends: St. Jude Walk/Run

On Saturday, September 21^st the Varsity TV team and friends got together and created a group for the St. Jude Walk/Run! As you know, the families of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital never receive a bill, and it’s up to people like us to make that happen for them.

What better time to help out the kids of St. Jude than Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! The run took place right outside of Austin, Texas at the Diamond Dell stadium. Over 1,400 participants took on the challenge and raised over $130,000!

The participants started their challenge at 9:00 AM and ended with a “No More Chemo” Celebration at 10:30 AM! Runners of all ages signed up for the event and helped raise awareness for kids battling childhood cancer.
