Twist and Shout Tulsa has a strong tradition of success year after year at America’s Best Kansas City. This is the program’s first opportunity to clench a bid to The Cheerleading Worlds and it’s one of their favorite events of the season.

Twist and Shout Diamonds are ready to put on a show in the Small Coed Level 5 division. This year, the team focused on putting on more of an entertaining production than in years past. Diamonds are confident in their innovative, edgy, and creative choreography heading into the season.

Diamonds are excited that their music is including the crowd in this year’s routine. There are two parts in their routine that they are looking for fans to interact with, Coach Lyndsey Kang shared.

The first is toward the end of running tumbling, and the music says “5,6,7,8 it’s time to do the wave”. Here we would like the crowd to do the wave, starting from the right side of the floor. The second is asking the crowd to spell out “heart” during the stunt.

Every season Twist and Shout go into ABKC with the same goal. They desire to leave routines on the floor that honor the late Cierra Russel, who passed away while in KC for this same event in 2015.
