The Varsity Coed Battle Is On: UCA NHSCC

The competition at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship is intense and these coed teams work year-round to showcase their talents on the national stage. 

Last year, 23 coed teams took the mat in Orlando, Florida. This year, champions will return to the most prestigious high school cheerleading championship around to battle head-to-head for the coveted white satin jackets!

Let's take a look back at the teams that took over the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex with their champion routines in 2021! 


Graves County High School

Large Varsity Coed

Event Score: 86.125

The Large Varsity Coed division is made up of three incredibly talented coed teams; Graves County, Bartow, and Dyer County High School.

Graves County had a raw score of just 0.1 above the Semi-Final second-place team, Bartow High School. Graves County rose to the occasion and was the only Large Varsity Coed team to hit a zero-deduction routine in Finals to secure their first place win and take home the white jackets.

Brother Martin High School

Medium Varsity Coed

Event Score: 92.25

Brother Martin celebrated their sweet championship after edging out Broken Arrow High School who took second place. Broken Arrow placed just under Brother Martin in their raw scores however Brother Martin brought the execution to seal the first place victory. 

Sparkman High School

Small Varsity Coed

Event Score: 89.525

Sparkman coed finished Day 1 with an impressive raw score of 89.4. The team sealed their win by fixing mistakes on Day 1 and hitting zero on Day 2 to earn a raw score of 91.9. The team ended up on top of the Small Varsity Coed division of 12 teams. Hudson High School finished in second place 4.25 points behind champions Sparkman.
