Johnny Campbell was the world’s first cheerleader, leading gopher fans in an organized cheer “Rah, Rah, Rah! Ski-u-mah, Hoo-Rah! Hoo-Rah! Varsity! Varsity! Varsity, Minn-e-So-Tah” in 1898. Fast forward to today – the Minnesota cheerleading team still upholds tradition with superior spirit.

Competing in the first-ever college Game Day competition, the D1A Coed team took home 2nd, while the All Girl team placed 4th at the championship!
