Let the battle begin! Today eleven teams will compete for $50,000 worth of prize money at the Spirit Sports Ultimate Battle in Myrtle Beach.

This competition is unique; any level 5 or 6 team with a bid to The Cheerleading Worlds can compete for the cash pot. There are no division breakdowns, just overall highest score wins! $30,000 is up for grabs for all competitors, while $20,000 is available to At-Large Bid teams.

Here’s the prize breakdown by placement:

At-Large Pool
  • 1st $8,000
  • 2nd $6,000
  • 3rd $4,000
  • 4th $2,000
Overall Pool
  • 1st $10,000
  • 2nd $8,000
  • 3rd $6,000
  • 4th $4,000
  • 5th $2,000

If an At-Large team earns the highest score at the competition, they could take home a total of $18,000! (combine At-Large 1st prize of 8K and Overall 1st of 10K) This event was created to award additional funds to teams heading to Worlds, and is a great warm up for teams heading to Orlando in April.

This year eleven teams will be taking part in the battle, and you can watch it LIVE right here on Varsity TV. The show starts at 7PM ET with introductions followed by the At-Large teams taking the stage. Check out the performance order below.
