Since the creation of the Junior College Division in 1998, It has been a must watch at the NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheerleading and Dance Championship in Daytona Beach, FL. The first two years of the division were won by Miami Dade Community College from Miami, FL. Since the year 2000, the division has been dominated by two schools who are now considered two of the top cheerleading schools in the nation.

Navarro College and Trinity Valley Community College have been battling it out on the Bandshell mat for almost two decades and the competition just keeps getting better. Both powerhouse schools went back to back never winning more than two times in a row until 2008.

In 2009, the Bulldogs from Navarro began to dominate over the Cardinals from Trinity Valley. They won back to back…to back from 2009 until 2015. In 2016, TVCC got back on top and took home the coveted NCA College National Title.

These cross-state Texas rivals are guaranteed to bring fierce routines to the mat this year. The title is up for grabs and it’s anyone’s game. Will TVCC start a winning streak or will Navarro take back the crown? Or could an underdog in the division surprise us all? Make sure to watch it all happen LIVE on Varsity TV!
