Last year’s championship was one for the history books, as multiple cheer teams held onto their winning streak for another year. The University of Kentucky, Indiana University, University of West Georgia, Wilmington University, Shelton State Community College, and Nassau Community College were a few of the squads that held onto the top spot and added another first-place trophy to their collection in 2017.

The coed and all girl Division lA teams always put on a show as some of the most anticipated divisions of the championship. In 2018, the University of Kentucky claimed their 22nd national championship title as they lead the pack in Div. lA coed. The Cats are known for bringing the total package of elite skills and engaging school spirit — and you can guarantee nothing less from the best in the new year.

The University of Alabama took second, followed by the University of Mississippi in third place.

In the all girl Div. lA, the ladies of Indiana University went back-to-back as they earned their fifth national championship title. The Hoosiers executed a clean routine jam-packed with elite skills, including extended hand-in-hands in their elite sequence.

The University of Alabama took the second-place spot followed by San Diego State University in third.

The Div. lA semifinals will take place on Saturday, January 13, in the HP Field House starting at 10 AM ET.

Morehead State’s big win in Division l coed marked the squad’s 25th UCA College national championship. The cheer community is excited to see what tricks the Eagles have up their sleeves as they prepare to compete for number 26 in 2018.

The University of Delaware earned second place, followed by Wichita State University in third.

Division l all girl is one of the toughest divisions, as the University of West Georgia and Morehead State battle it out year after year to see who will take home the title. The Wolves of West Georgia prevailed as the champions in 2017 and the Eagles placed second.

The University of Delaware brought their first ever all girl team to the championship in 2017 and the Blue Hens made history by finishing in third place on their first time out.
