That’s A Wrap For Day 1 Of UCA Bluegrass!

Day 1 of UCA Bluegrass wrapped up with finale performances from some of the top varsity squads in the country. Fifty incredible teams made up the six different varsity divisions and the talent was over the top.

If you couldn’t join us to watch high school cheerleading teams put on a show in Lexington, KY, here are the top moments from the varsity divisions on Day 1.

Eastern High School opened up with double toe touch back tucks and solid full up immediate libs to earn themselves the title of 2017 small varsity Dl Champions!

Congrats Eastern High School!

Madison Southern beat out 16 other talented small varsity DII squads to take the top spot at UCA Bluegrass. This was one of the toughest divisions of the day but Madison Southern stood above the rest to take the crown.

Known for having a sharp and athletic routine, North Laurel High School incorporated multiple single base stunts to dominate the medium varsity DI division.

Congratulations, North Laurel High School!

Corbin High School proved they have what it takes to go far this season after displaying power stunts and a spirited cheer that had the entire crowd chanting loud during the medium varsity Dll division.

Who? Who? Won Bluegrass? The Hounds from Corbin High!

With a tradition of excellence, Paul Laurence Dunbar added another win to their trophy case last night with a big win in the large varsity division.

Brining another championship trophy home, let’s hear it for Paul Laurence Dunbar!

Super varsity team, Bullitt East High School, charged up the crowd with solid full up tic-tocs and elite high-to-high full arounds. The talented squad showed off their athleticism by incorporating standing tucks and full around stunts throughout their routine.

Bullitt East spins their way to the top at UCA Bluegrass!
