Our program is only 18 months old…that’s not even 2 in all star cheer years.

There’s a new all star program on the scene in the Midwest, and they’ve already trained up a level 5 restricted team that’s making waves in Colorado.

“Our program is only 18 months old…that’s not even 2 in all star cheer years,” Brent Steele told us before awards at the UCA Mile High Championship in Denver.

UCA & UDA Mile High Championship

Steele Athletics, owned by Brent Steele and Tiffany Valdez, is competing four teams at the UCA Mile High Championship this weekend, and they’re off to a great start! Their level 2 youth and level 3 junior team took home first in their divisions.

Gym director Jake Compston told us more about the culture and future for Steele Athletics: “We have an international small coed worlds team that is constantly showcasing their strengths, along with tons of talent throughout our lower levels. Steele is a gym on the rise, with a very bright future. Between our North Denver, Denver, and Springs location(s) we are excited to get our name out and continue the growth of our Steele Athletics family.”

Making a mark on the all star scene isn’t always easy for new programs, but the future for Steele looks bight. Stay tuned this afternoon for their level 4 and 5 performances and keep up with the teams by following them on Twitter, and by watching them all season long on Varsity TV!
