SoCal Select Turns Heads At USA All Star

The USA All Star Championship is one of the larger events rounding out the all star season in March, awarding multiple bids to The Summit Championships, the U.S. Finals, and Worlds.

SoCal Select is one of the powerhouse D2, West Coast teams turning heads at the championship, and they've already previously claimed bids for every single team they've brought to USAs in Anaheim. The program has four teams competing this weekend, and they're all looking for more time on the mat heading towards the end of year championships in April and May.

Steve Schimenti is the director and head coach at SoCal Select All Stars in San Diego, and leads the program with a background in elite cheerleading and tumbling.

"It’s easy to win," he said. "Walking out in second place knowing what you need to work on builds an athlete."

Watching the teams take the floor this weekend, you can expect fast-paced choreography, sharp skills, and standout technique. Watch the SoCal teams perform Saturday and Sunday at the USA All Star Championship in Anaheim or LIVE on Varsity TV!
