Rocklin Advances To Face Woodcreek In CSC Finals!

Rocklin High School advances on from Game 4 to go head to head against #1 seed Woodcreek High School in the Finals of the 2018 California State CSC STUNT Championship.

The first year STUNT team from Centennial High School came out swinging in Game 4 calling Routine 6 in the very first round. Opposing team Rocklin High School forfeited the match and Centennial’s impressive first performance earned them the lead.

Things got interesting quick as the teams tied in round 2 and both received a point for their partner stunt routines. They then swapped possession back and forth to end the opening quarter with Centennial holding the lead 3-2.

The #2 seed, Centennial High School had a strong showing in Quarter 2 and widened their lead to 6-3.

After the half, Rocklin took the first two points. The school has not previously been known for their strong tumbling abilities but has worked hard this season and their dedication has paid off. The Thunder only trail Centennial by 1 at the end of Quarter 3 with a score of 7-6.

The fans filling the Hornets Nest at Sacramento State were on their feet cheering loud as the teams moved into the final quarter of the game.

In the first round of Quarter 4, Rocklin made a comeback taking 2 of the three points to tie the game 8-8. The tie didn’t last long as Rocklin took 2 more points in the second round and overtook Centennial by 1.

Centennial has six seniors leading the way at the 2018 California CSC State STUNT Championship and they weren’t going down without a fight as they moved into the final round of the game. Centennial added 1 more point to the scoreboard but Rocklin held on to the lead to finish the game on top with the final score of 12-10.
