Prepare Yourself: DIA Coed & All Girl

The DIA division is always jam-packed with talent, and the top three teams in both coed and all girl have not consistently been the same teams each year. The UCA & UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship is always full of surprises, and we’re sure 2020 won’t be any different!

Division IA Coed

In DIA Coed, the University of Kentucky, the University of Alabama, and the University of Central Florida have been the most consistent at securing the top three for many years, but recently The Ohio State University has changed that!

In 2018, the University of Alabama coed team was knocked out of the top three at the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship, but they made their way back up last season taking third in the DIA division. We’re sure to expect a clean routine from the Crimson Tide this year!

As for the Buckeyes, this team has shown up the past two years and cracked the top three, dominating the DIA division! They compete some of the most creative and unique pyramids that always catch the crowd's attention. Will they keep up their top-three streak this year?

Last year at the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship, the University of Kentucky performed an untouchable, nearly perfect routine that once again sent them to the top claiming their 24th national title. We don’t anticipate anything less than perfection from the Wildcats again this season!

Division IA All Girl

In 2018, Florida State University placed 11th at the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship, but the Seminoles made a huge jump last year. They ended their season with the most creative routine they have ever put on the mat and a third-place finish!

The Aztecs from San Diego State University put on a show with a strong routine in 2019. Their passion out on the floor brought them home the silver medal, and we can’t wait to see them take on the competition again this season!

Indiana University last won the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship in 2017, and last year they claimed their top spot back after leaving it all out on the floor! The Hoosiers executed incredibly difficult skills and made them look easy. Will they secure back to back titles?
