The Pinnacle Award is continuing to honor and recognize athletes across the country for their outstanding efforts in being #AllStarStrong. Meet the newest recipients and learn how they display leadership, dedication, confidence & teamwork.

Emmy Stephens – American Cheerleaders Association – Fort Worth, TX

Emmy Stephens of Alliance Cheer Elite goes above and beyond in her program and community.After noticing those less fortunate during a cold snap, she decided she wanted to help them all stay warm during the winter.  With the help of her gym, she organized a blanket drive called “Warmth and CHEER for the Homeless”, collecting over 300 blankets that were passed out in cities such as Dallas and Houston during cheer competitions. Emily has a pure servant’s heart, she saw a need and made a difference. School is also important as she is in the GT program, has straight A’s and volunteers her recess time to help with special needs kids. She donates her time to local animal shelters and is involved in raising money for cancer research. Emmy truly does it all and ACA was honored to recognize her with this award.

Heather Ferguson – Champion Cheer & Dance – Upper Marlboro, MD

Heather Ferguson form Maryland Dance Energy works hard both on and off the dance floor. High Voltage is her team name but describes the way she tackles life and her responsibilities.  A strong leader to her teammates, Heather holds down a job and maintains a high GPA. Active in the National Honors Society, she does extremely well in school and is graduating near the top of her class. After school, she goes to multiple different campuses to pick up her teammates so they can attend practice.

Kennedy Polk – Spirit Unlimited – Atlantic City, NJ

Kennedy Polk is a hardworking senior that encompasses all the qualities of a true cheerleader and teammate!  Now a member of New Jersey Spirit Explosion – Fab 5, Kennedy started cheering at the age of 5 on a rec team and worked hard to achieve her dream of becoming an all star athlete. Last season, she was on two teams and a junior coach to the minis, totaling about 20 hours a week in the gym. Studies are also a huge focus for Kennedy and she strives to maintain good grades and set an example for not only her 3 sisters, but the entire program.

Gavin Scheele – Champion Spirit Group – Schaumburg, IL

Gavin Scheele displays talent and humility while competing with Indiana Ultimate. A true teammate, he makes everyone feel welcome to their Level 6 team. His words of encouragement speak volumes to his fellow athletes and his dedication, determination and love of the sport are unmatched. Gavin works hard to seek out other teams and programs, giving words of encouragement and hope

Gavin works hard on his skills and continues to strive to improve himself. Embodying all of the #AllStarStrong characteristics, he will continue to work hard to display leadership & dedication in all that he does.
