Ole Miss All Girl Takes Home 1st, 2nd Year Competing!

With tears in her eyes “This is my first win as a coach,” Ryan O’Connor said after her team was announced the first-ever D1A All Girl Game Day champions at the 2018 UCA College Cheerleading Championship.

This was Ole Miss All Girl’s second time competing at nationals, and they made their mark and an impression on the judges with their creative and energetic sideline style.

The squad incorporated unique “D-fins” signs in the place of traditional Defense signs to honor their football team's defensive unit, popularly known as the Landsharks. The chant lit up the crowd as they cued a response from the fan-filled arena. The Ole Miss Rebels made a real splash with great use of cheers and chants incorporating a fun school tradition.

Their stage presence, use of space, and the overall performance of the all girl team earned them the first-ever awarded title of Game Day National Champs — Brava, ladies!
