Cheerleader’s Choice Update: 1,068 Nominations Submitted!

This season, YOU decide the high school and college spirit squads featured on Varsity TV. Over the past two weeks, more than 1,000 Cheerleader’s Choice nominations were sent in for high school and collegiate cheerleading squads across the nation.

Cheerleader's Choice!
Each of the entries brilliantly displayed the unique traditions and enthusiasm from schools of all sizes, from coast to coast. This means our super-spirited Varsity TV panel has their work cut out for them this week! Right now, they’re hard at work reading through nominations to hand-select the top 20 finalists who will move on to the final fan vote.

The Big Reveal
On Friday, September 1, be sure to head back to Varsity TV for the official announcement and find out which 10 high school and 10 college squads will be named finalists. Then it’s up to the fans to vote them onto victory!

After the vote, only FIVE will have the opportunity to call themselves 2017-18 Cheerleader’s Choice: School Spirit Spotlight winners!

TIP: you’ll be able to vote once a day, every day during the two-week voting period. So get creative and get spirited — make some posters and rally your school, family, and friends to rock the vote!

The winning spirit squads will be showcased in an exclusive team feature, like when McCracken County High School Medium Senior Coed claimed victory at NHSCC. It could even be a Varsity TV original documentary! Check out some of our favorites.

University Of Tennessee: It’s Game Day

Entrenched in rich tradition, the atmosphere at the Neyland Stadium is always electric. We’re taking you to the sidelines as they play the University of Alabama. The friendly rivalry runs deep, and so does the spirit of the Volunteers. Experience a game day like you’ve never seen it before.

The Ohio State University: Building The Buckeyes

A young team with strong veteran leaders and coaches. Watch this talented squad go head-to-head in the competitive Division 1A Large Coed division and fight for top 10 in the nation at the UCA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Team National Championship.

USA Coed: Going For Gold

After cheerleading was recently granted Olympic provisional status, all eyes were on USA Cheer. In this original three-part series, you’ll watch the deepest talent pool of collegiate athletes go through tryouts, training, and ultimately perform on the biggest stage and go for gold.
