New Program Works To Deliver 5 Knockout Performances At NDA All-Star

The Knockout All-Stars are a brand new program from Kansas City, Missouri! Coming from an area with a heavy studio dance following, TKO founder & owner Shannon Summers decided to open the first-ever All Star dance program back in September of 2017.

We really love the team aspect and what All Star dance stands for, so it was important to me to bring all star dance to the Kansas City Area.

Shannon explains that she hopes that this program will put the kids on the path towards high school and college dance teams and understand the values of working with a team.

The Knockout All-Star's Seniors performed in the Senior Contemporary/Lyrical division at NDA Nationals.

Inspired by the level of competition they’ve seen at past NDA events, the program brought their 14 dancers to Grapevine to compete in 5 different performances over the weekend, including Mini Lyrical, Youth Lyrical, Youth Pom, Senior Lyrical and Senior Pom. Some of the dancers competed in the solo competition on Friday night as well.

We were fully aware that it would be an eye-opening experience for them, but we wanted that exposure to give them inspiration so they know what we want for our program in the future.

In the end, Shannon hopes that bringing the first ever Kansas City all star program to a national championship will bring more exposure of all star dance to the metro area.
