Meet Varsity Pinnacle Award Recipient, DeLaney From Prima Dance All-Stars!

Day 1 of the 2020 UDA National Dance Team Championship wrapped up last night with the Junior, Senior, and Open All Star Dance Awards Ceremonies. While trophies and bids were given out to the highest-scoring teams, one individual received a special award.

DeLaney from Prima Dance All-Stars in Knoxville, Tennessee received the Varsity Pinnacle Award for always going above and beyond to help any of her teammates in need.

DeLaney is a part of the Junior & Senior All Star teams at Prima Dance All-Stars. She competes on 5 teams and also competes a Solo. When not practicing and perfecting her skills, she volunteers as an assistant coach for her studio’s Tiny All Star teams.

If anyone needs help with any choreography, Delaney will come early and stay late to work with them even though she has practice every day of the week. She sends out reminders to the team and encouraging messages to those that are feeling down about themselves.

In 4 years of dancing at Prima Dance, she has never missed a practice. She always dances full out and does whatever she can to improve. She believes in herself, her teammates, her coach, and her entire program. DeLaney never complains and always strives to be her best.
