USA Cheer is proud to announce a new addition to their US National All Girl Team coaching staff! Nicole Nichols is another great asset to the program, and we’re sure to see great things out of her.

About Nicole

Nicole is from York, Pennsylvania, and is married with two daughters. She started off as a gymnast, but made the transition to cheerleading in high school. She cheered at Central York High School and became a member of UCA staff right out of high school.

Nicole went to a local college her freshmen year, but then transferred to Slippery Rock University her sophomore year. She cheered on the coed team at Slippery Rock until she graduated.

After graduating, Nicole moved back home to Pennsylvania and coached high school teams, while still working on UCA Staff. The coaching position at the University of West Georgia opened up and Nicole applied. Her journey with the Wolves started, and she moved to Carrollton, Georgia!

Nicole is currently in her ninth season of coaching at the University of West Georgia. She has over 17 years of cheerleading experience and continues to lead her teams to success!

“My experience from coaching at UWG has truly given me the most preparation,” Nichols said. “I have an amazing coaching staff that I learn from daily and without them this wouldn’t be possible. We have a great village full of previous coaches in Carrollton who set a standard that we work hard to uphold. I am surrounded by people who help me be a better coach every day. I didn’t get here alone.”

Nicole has had multiple West Georgia athletes compete on the US National Teams, and as their coach, she helped prepare them mentally and physically for their big journey with USA Cheer!

Take a look at a few action shots of Nicole's athletes from UCA College Camp at the University of Alabama!

Now that Nicole is a part of the US National Team coaching staff, she is looking forward to the overall experience and of course, the selection process in January 2020!

“I am excited to help chose the team, meet the team and get them to work! We have a lot to accomplish this next year.” -Nicole Nichols

Keep an eye out next spring as Nicole takes on this new experience with USA Cheer!
