Lindenwood Cheer: Lions, Lions, and Lions! Oh My!

Lindenwood University is a program to have on your watch list this weekend at the 2021 NCA & NDA Collegiate National Championship! For 19 years this Missouri team has grown to be a force to be reckoned with. The Lions have earned seven national titles between the Large Coed, Small Coed, and Small Coed INTM divisions. Lindenwood will be fighting for more titles at the NCA & NDA Collegiate National Championship. After a great virtual showcase Monday, this team is ready. They support each other with strength in their numbers as they head to Daytona!

The Lions will take the mat today for the preliminary round of the NCA & NDA Collegiate National Championship 2021 at 9:56 AM EST for Small Coed INTM, at 12:56 PM EST for Large Coed, and at 3:08 PM EST for Small Coed. These exceptional athletes will also have representation in the Group Stunt and Partner Stunt Championship!

In 2019, Lindenwood took third in DII Small Coed INTM, second in DII Small Coed, and won the DII Large Coed Divison.

Going into this season, Lindenwood had a goal as a program to stay healthy, attend in person, and hit zero deduction routines. The Lions are lead with resilience by Coach Carrie Nichols with Jarell Staten, Shawn Brown, Rachel Define, Cole Henderson, and Clayton Revelle, through the uncertainties this season brought.  "Lindenwood is prepared to take on anything," Coach Nichols says. "Things were definitely different and we didn’t get to cheer one game, so our entire season was changed this year. The only thing we had to focus or look forward to was competition."

Lindenwood is thrilled to have made it to sunny Daytona. After the heartbreaking cancellation of the championship last year, followed by a season like no other, the Lions came together to focus on hitting their three competitive routines.

"We have had to take pauses and deal with Covid but the kids adapted to change and a new way of practicing and we are so proud of them for getting here." – Carrie Nichols

You won't want to miss any of what this exciting program has to offer as they go for more national titles at the 2021 NCA & NDA Collegiate National Championship!
