It’s ‘Showtime’ For The 2018 NDA All-Star National Championship!

It’s almost showtime for Showtime Studios, and they’re traveling all the way from the great state of New Mexico! Bringing six teams along with them, this program is well decorated with titles from previous appearances at the NDA All Star National Championship.

Showtime Studios has attended the competition for years, and they have a lot to show for it. The list of accomplishments could go on and on! The program has claimed multiple titles at the Dance Worlds and was named the USASF Dance Program of the Year in 2015.

Showtime Studios comes from the small town of Alamogordo and is now newly owned by Misty Curry-Hernandez and Sergio Elizaldez, as of May 2017.

“After the previous owner decided to retire after more than 30 years, we didn’t want our small community to lose one of the best things that is available and that is a safe, happy place for our kids to be," explained owners Hernandez and Elizaldez.

“We are STRONG, we are FAMILY and we have not let any of this get in the way of the talent that we will be showcasing at Nationals.”

“Our choreography is tailored to the various talents that we have on each team," the owners said. “This year we have incorporated a lot of head spins as all of the teams have this in each of their routines. Our Senior team has definitely done something different with their routine this year. We hope that it is well liked.”

The program received four second place trophies last year at the NDA All Star National Championship, so they’re back and hungrier than ever.

“NDA is important to our studio because it allows us to put New Mexico on the map and showcase all of the talent that is out there.”

The owners said Showtime's coaching staff is the secret to their success.

“They spend countless hours in the studio each week helping our dancers learn what they are so eager to learn,” Hernandez and Elizaldez added. "It's my belief that I have the best coaches in the world. I cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work and dedication that they give.” 

The program has not received any Summit or Worlds bids . . . yet. Will they put on a show this weekend that sends them to the next level?
