Iowa Western Hopes To Make 2018 Their Golden Year

Iowa Western Community College is determined to make 2018 the year they make their programs dream come true.

This weekend will make the ninth time the Iowa Western Spirit Squad has competed at the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship. The Reivers have continuously placed top 3 ending last year in 2nd place, and the talented squad is hoping that 2018 will be the year they take the gold.

It’s the keen eye for detail that Iowa has that sets them apart year after year from others in the Open Coed Division. Having their routine executed in such a clean and crisp way has helped them to excel in the on the stage when it matters most.

This team doesn’t only have cleanliness, they carry their school spirit to another level. Starting this off back at home as they take part in a tradition called the “B-L-U-E Rally” something that is done at every home game, and then brought all they to the sunshine state at college nationals. This gives the team, and the fans a little piece of home wherever they are performing. Iowa Western loves to put on a show, and you can see it by the way their crowd feeds off the team’s energy and gives it right back to them with their reactions.
