A full day of competition is complete at the 2025 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship, but there’s still so much to come over the weekend.
One Blue Hen Family
The University of Delaware spirit program is no stranger to the UCA and UDA College National Championships. But for the first time ever, the university will be represented by two cheerleading teams in Orlando, Florida, on Jan. 13-15. Meet the UD all girl cheer team!
The Blue Hen all girl team is made up of 22 athletes who are excited for this opportunity and ready to make school history. Spirit coordinator Rob Ellery shared how the team is feeling going into the competition.
The all girl team is thrilled to have the opportunity to compete at UCA College Nationals this year. The teams enjoy practicing together. They push and support each other like brothers and sisters. It’s been a really great experience for the cheerleaders and our staff.
The team’s biggest challenge this season has been keeping everyone healthy. However, this tough group of athletes takes pride in what it brings to the mat and never backs down from a challenge. As the Blue Hens push themselves to the limit, we can expect to see a visual routine and a fun performance in Orlando.
“It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to compete at college nationals for the first time,” sophomore CC Spruill said.
