First-Time Hawaii Team Wins NCA National Championship!

All the way from Honolulu, Hawaii, Moanalua High School came to Dallas like a tidal wave competing for the first time at the 2018 NCA Senior & Junior High School National Championship and taking home the title in the Advanced Small High School Division!

Blossom Aloha Caballero is the head coach for the squad and has lead them to the top in many state championships, but in 2018, she wanted to take them to something even bigger!

"I typically drill sharp and clean that has always put us on top in Hawaii, but this year's team is the most talented team that Moanalua has ever had." Caballero explained. "Because of this, I thought why not take them to nationals, they deserve it!"

The constant practice of being clean definitely transcribed in all of the Menehune's skills. Not only did all of their tumbling land with a solid stick and stand, but their jump timing and technique was impeccable.

Moanalua came to this competition with one saying that they truly lived by at this nationals, "One Team, One Goal, One Option, Boh Boh!" They've said motto before every one of their memorizing performances and tonight, the team accomplished that goal.
