Epic Athlete | Gage Gilliland

I’m Gage Gilliland I’m 16 years old and I am on the ACE Warriors in Birmingham, Alabama! A fun fact about me is, before I started cheerleading I taught myself everything up to a full on the grass! Being an Epic Athlete to me means being one of the leaders in the cheerleading industry, and being a part of a group of athletes that many kids look up to! I embody the essence of an Epic Athlete by always working hard and pushing myself to be my best! My journey getting to where I am now was I always interested in cheerleading before I started so I would stretch and tumble in the grass 24/7 until I asked my parents to take me to a gym nearby, and I’ve been learning and loved it ever since! The most impactful lesson I’ve learned through my cheerleading career is probably to take your mistakes and learn from them. My favorite cheer memory was attending the Majors for the first time last year, I always wanted to compete at MAJORS so when I got the chance I was ecstatic! My next move after this year will be to have another great cheer season and work the hardest I can to hopefully cheer in college!
