SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Scholarships Offered: Yes 

Cheer Scholarship Details: Partial scholarships are awarded up to $500 each semester with additional scholarships available based on individual qualifications. Cheerleaders can be full-time or part-time enrolled student athletes.

Mascot Scholarship Details: Mascot scholarship is awarded as part of the Student Engagement and Leadership Department. The amount varies depending on individual qualifications per semester and involvement as a student ambassador.

Up to 3 students are eligible for a mascot position. Partial scholarship and/or meal plan coverage is offered.

TRYOUT INFORMATION

CHEER:

Clinic & Tryout Dates: Tryouts are in May and August as needed. Clinics are in September and March.

Tryout Requirements:

• Demo a sideline chant, 
• Demo school fight song band dance
• Toe touch and hurdler jumps 
• Any tumbling and stunt skills

You must send in a recruiting video through email to Head Coach Katie Reed. You must also submit an online recruitment form to https://www.eccathletics.com/recruits/cheer_squad. 

MASCOT:

Tryout Dates: May or August as needed.

Pounce attends athletics and other college and community events as the ECC Panther Pride.

Competition Involvement: Ellsworth Community College competes at America's Best Cheer and Dance Championships and NCA College Cheer and Dance Nationals.
