The Open Coed division at the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship has had a consistent top spot team the past 12 years. Shelton State Community College is known as a powerhouse in this division, and continues its legacy each year at the competition!

But in the past couple of years, a new contender has gradually been moving towards the top and could be a big competitor to Shelton State this year at the championship.

Last year, Jones College ran a close race for the top spot but came up a little short. This season, they’re ready to give it their all for what will be the program's first-ever national title! Do you think the Bobcats have what it takes to secure a gold medal?

Shelton State Community College from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, has dominated this division recently with 12 consecutive national titles in the Open Coed division. They never let the crowd down when it comes to a difficult and cleanly executed routine! Will the Bucs add another title to their collection and make it 13 this weekend?

Another outstanding team to look out for in the Open Coed division is Iowa Western Community College! This team has consistently placed within the top three for many years, and they’re fighting for their chance to move up the ladder. Could Iowa Western pull an upset in the anticipated division?
