The NDA National Championship is always packed full of talented teams and Rock Bridge will be fighting once again for a spot at the top!

Rock Bridge High School is ready to defend their title at The 2021 NDA National Championship. Although things may be a bit different this year for coach Lyria Bartlett's eleventh appearance at the championship, she and her team are ready to take on their first virtual championship!

Rock Bridge High School has won Large Varsity Jazz twice, Large Varsity Pom, and in 2019 Rock Bridge took 1st Place in the Medium Varsity Team Performance! This year you'll be seeing them virtually compete in Team Performance, Large Varsity Pom, and Large Varsity Game Day! This team is always fighting for a title, but the main goal is to keep growing, always, and to respect the legacy.

"There is an incredible line of strong, talented women that have come through this program.  We work hard to make them proud and continue developing the program." -Lyria Bartlett

"This year has been a roller coaster," coach Bartlett says. "This team became the underlying heartbeat for our connection to the outside world. They were able to continue practicing and took advantage of any opportunity for improvement. In a way, it channeled our focus on what we could control – and that was getting better as a team and improving our skills."

Skills aren’t something this team struggles with however, they have strong technical studio dancers and good jumps. This team is successful at quality practices and communication.

For the first time, this team will be competing virtually and they are excited, but still just a bit nervous! They structured their year around finding a way, despite the circumstances and the appearance of this nationals is no different.

"We will find a way.  We will persevere.  And we will help each other out in the process. We are currently in a very good spot for winning a title and for the girls – especially the seniors – I think that makes a lot of the effort worth it."       -Lyria Bartlett
