Damonte Ranch High School Routine Breakdown

The team started their routine off with squad tumbling to the outsides of the mat with three show-and-go stunts in the back. They transitioned back to the center of the mat while incorporating four “DRHS” flags and a high flying basket!

Damonte Ranch threw round off tucks before moving into their first stunt. Seven half up libs went up and came back down with great synchronization! The team then threw seven full up preps that pressed to extension and transitioned into a different formation before dismounting with a full down.

The same seven groups set out and went right back up with low to high libs to stretch. The top girls showed their various body positions by pulling a scale followed by an arabesque with a waterfall dismount.

The top girls threw back walkovers out of their cradles and the team moved right into their jump sequence. The jump sequence consisted of choreography followed by a pike to double toe touch. During the second sequence, the team threw toe touch back handsprings that transitioned them right into the cheer!

The cheer started off strong with the “D-A-M-O-N-T-E” spell out! Three girls threw roundoff back handsprings to the front then grabbed their poms to help lead the crowd. Seven double based stunts went up in the back to help the crowd with the Damonte spell out.

As the stunts ripped to the top on their letter, a round off back handspring tuck was thrown across the front of the mat. The stunts popped off in the back while the girls up front with the green poms continued to lead the crowd!

Two hitch pyramids built in the back to help lead the crowd with their blue and green colors, while the team incorporated signs and megaphones in the front for a variety of props! To top it off, a high flying toe touch basket was thrown in the middle of the two hitch pyramids.

The groups came together in the back, connecting to make one big pyramid. The middle flyers dismounted with a braced front flip to the ground. The three remaining groups led the crowd with poms then dismounted with a 360 to the ground.

For the second half of the music portion, the team came together for a pyramid, throwing two rewinds to cradle to immediate lib tick tocks. The team showed creative transitions and body positions all throughout their fast paced and creative pyramid sequence!

The pyramid dismounted with three bird fronts to prone and the team moved right into their fun and flashy dance. Two guys threw round off tucks to the front before the team hit their final ending pose!

Damonte Ranch High School did an amazing job on the mat and we can’t wait to watch their final performance! Awards for the Co-Ed Varsity Show Cheer Intermediate division begin at 5:15 PT tonight, so stay tuned to Varsity TV for the final placements and live coverage to USA Spirit Nationals all weekend long!
