The 7 teams that make up Coed Cheer Division lA are some of the most elite teams you will see this weekend at the 2019 NCA & NDA Collegiate National Championship.

The teams will start their journey to national championship glory today in Daytona Beach, Florida starting at 3:29 PM ET in the Ocean Center with the Preliminary round of the competition.

Coed Cheer Division lA Team To Watch: University of Texas at San Antonio

NCA College Nationals Championship History:

This year, UTSA is making the move from Small Coed to Large Coed Division lA. 

The Roadrunners have had multiple top 10 finishes in Small Coed Division lA including back to back second place finishes in 2015 and 2016.

What are your team’s style and strengths this year?

"The coed team has a family bond and are always together. They trust each other and have faith with one another. They are full of positive energy and have adapted and adjusted to changes all year." – UTSA Spirit Coordinator, AudraLee Scofield.

How many athletes throw standing fulls are in your routine this season?

1 standing full in addition to other standing tumbling passes.

How many baskets are being thrown in your routine?

5 baskets: full tosses and X outs. 

What would you say is the most impressive building skill in your routine this year?

"The pyramid would be their favorite structure to build. They love to work together to hit that final structure with confidence. They all count and truly show what teamwork is all about." – Scofield
