ACX Purple Reign Aims To Perfect Performance

I have a team of champions…

Before hitting the competition floor ACX Purple Reign from Irmo, South Carolina grouped up for a final team huddle.

The Large Junior Level 3 team has been working all season long on perfecting their performance and grooming a young team. The athletes are ages 8-15 years and many of the competitors have moved up into this new level.

The team joins hands in one last pep talk before heading to the performance floor.

Coach Lamar Lee addressed the team before walking backstage.

Our last performance was good, but we’ve got to keep elevating our routine each time we perform.

As they walked backstage, ready to take the mat on Day 1 of the Battle At The Beach competition in Myrtle Beach, there were hugs and words of encouragement; the overall vibe was light and excited.

Backstage emotions run high as the athletes prepare to take the stage. 

“They’ve been through a lot this year,” Coach Lamar told us as we followed them to the on deck area. “No matter what happens they come back…they always bring it back.”

Behind them in the lineup was another ACX team, the Diamond Daddies. They offered good luck support and hugs to the team as they headed up the ramp to the mat.
