Achieving Goals: New Jersey Spirit Explosion Bombshells

NCA All-Star Nationals has come to a close for the Level 4 Youth division and your 2019 National Champions are New Jersey Spirit Explosion Bombshells! The program has been attending the competition for nearly 15 years and now has a total of six NCA titles.

This particular team has developed a lot of chemistry over the past three years and Marquita Minkins believes this is one of the teams strengths. “Our strength is our bond,” said Minkins. “Almost all of the athletes on this team have been together for the last three seasons.”

Hitting zero on the mat is a great feeling after putting in countless hours of work towards the routine, and Bombshells had a goal of doing this twice!

“Our goal is to hit a zero deduction routine two days in a row this weekend!” -Marquita Minkins

The New Jersey Spirit Explosion Bombshells did just that and hit two incredible routines back to back! The team went into finals in first place and held their top spot on Day 2, ending with a score of a 96.7916.

The team showcased a wide variety of difficult tumbling and solid stunts! The teams choreography added unique flare to the routine, as well as eye catching transitions!

Bombshells is made up of 15 athletes all from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The 2019 NCA National Champions are coached by Brielle Best and she is assisted by Sarah Hughart. Take a look at their jacket winning routine!
