A Letter to Future #NDAstaff: Best decision of my life.

Dear Future NDA Staff,

Hello future of NDA! My name is Sabrina and I am going to be going into my 6th year working for NDA. I am from Long Island, New York but currently go to Florida State University where I am captain of my dance team. I remember just like it was yesterday when I was applying to be a staff member 5 years ago, and still to this day, it was the best decision I have ever made. I am so lucky to be here to tell you about my experience and all the amazing things NDA has done for me.

NDA came into my life my freshman year of high school where I started attending NDA camp and NDA High School Nationals. Throughout high school this was my favorite time of year, getting to be around my team and be in the presence of the staff members that I looked up to myself. Fast forward to my senior year of high school where my team’s buddy, who happens to be one of my best friends now, changed my whole life. NDA Britney was someone that I aspired to be like, and receiving an application from her at my last NDA camp was just a dream. Right away I knew I had to apply and I needed to be in that uniform. That same year I attended the special event with my friend Ari, who happens to also be on NDA staff now, in Disney World. I did the live audition and waited a few months to hear back. Once I received that letter in the mail, so much changed for me. Five years later, I can confirm that receiving that letter was the best thing that has happened to me.

I had a hard time deciding where to go in this letter to you, because I can go on forever about how much I love NDA and how special it is to me. NDA is a prestige dance company that allows me to travel the country to places I would never think about going, with people I cannot live without, doing the thing I love most. I have traveled to over 15 new states because of NDA. I can confidently say that a lot of my happiness has come from joining NDA. When I am in the uniform I feel like I am the best version of myself. Because of NDA I have been able to watch dancers and teams grow, laugh, cry, smile, and shine. There is nothing as rewarding as seeing the impact you have on your dancers. NDA allows me to be a part of something greater and bigger than myself.

My advice to you, is to just do it. Just apply and see where this journey takes you. NDA has become my second family. I have people across the country that I can call anytime, any place and I know they will be there for me. I have a family that will support me through anything. NDA has given me the opportunity to inspire and be that person that I looked up to when I was in high school. I never thought that I would be this in love and this passionate about something as much as I am with NDA. Each and every year I fall more and more in love with the company, the other staff, the teams and the places I get to travel. So once again my advice is to JUST DO IT! You will not regret it, I promise. I hope you choose this journey just like I did, and I hope to see you next summer in the same uniform as NDA staff!

With Love,
NDA Sabrina
