5 Of The Best Ways To Fight UV Rays!

Did you know you can experience sun damage on a cloudy day? Summer may be all fun and games but the sun and its damaging rays are not. Sun protection should always be on your radar, don't let UV rays ruin your summer day!

If you plan to be outside for long periods of time, be sure to keep these items nearby to avoid the burn.

1. Sunnies

The lens of your eye can easily be damaged by UV rays, and as you age — that damage can turn into cataracts. Keep a pair of sunglasses in the car, in your purse and locker at school to be on the safe side.

2. Sunscreen

A good sunscreen is a must. Use moisturizers, BB creams or foundations that include SPF to protect the delicate skin on your face. This makes protecting your skin from the sun a daily ritual. Waterproof is key, especially if you plan to sweat at practice.

3. Hats

Wearing a baseball cap, or sun hat can help protect both your eyes, and your face and shoulders. And lucky you — wide brim hats are in style this summer!

4. Lip Protection

That's right, protecting your lips is also important! Most chapsticks have SPF but use an SPF 30 just to be sure you're in the clear.

5. H2O

Not to make this another article about hydration, BUT IT'S IMPORTANT! Your skin cells are made up of mostly water, so give them a little extra H2O love when you're spending time outdoors.
