240 Nominations & Counting For Cheerleader’s Choice School Spirit Spotlight

Nominations for the 2021 Cheerleader's Choice: School Spirit Spotlight opened up on Monday, August 30th, and will close next week on Wednesday, September 8th at 11:45 PM CST. 

Over 240 entries have been submitted so far, but it isn't too late to get in YOUR nomination! 

There are only five days left to submit your favorite high school and college teams for a chance to be featured on Varsity TV this upcoming season. Out of the 240 entries, Vernon High School, Oakmont High School, and Independence High School have received the most nominations. But there's still plenty of time for your favorite spirit program to be a part of Cheerleader's Choice: School Spirit Spotlight

All nomination entries must be submitted on time for your team to be considered to become one of the top 20 finalists. Entering is easy — simply tell us a little bit about yourself and the school spirit squad you want to see shining on the sideline, the competition stage, and on Varsity TV.

Nomination Entry Period

  • Monday, August 30th – Wednesday, September 8th

Top 20 Finalist Reviewed & Selected

  • Thursday, September 9th – Friday, September 10th

Final Voting Period

  • Monday, September 13th – Friday, September 17th

LIVE Show Winners Revealed 

  • Friday, September 24th 

*Due to COVID-19 and the cancelation of events, the following three Cheerleader's Choice: School Spirit Spotlight winners from 2020 will receive their features during the 2021-2022 Season: Stewarts Creek High School, Downey High School, and New Oxford High School.


Rules & Restrictions

Anyone may submit a nomination. School programs nominated must be located in the United States in order to be eligible to win. Finalists will be selected based on creativity, originality, community involvement and uniqueness. Multiple nominations for the same team will be taken into consideration. Finalists will consist of 20 school teams. Votes are limited to one per person, per day. The five programs receiving the most votes will win.
