What To Know About The Oregon Convention Center

PacWest Grand Nationals returns to Portland, Oregon, and the Oregon Convention Center in 2024, which means familiar territory for some competitors and a first visit to the City of Roses for others. 

The Oregon Convention Center includes multiple ballrooms, more than 255,000 square feet of uninterrupted exhibition space, more than 50 meeting rooms and VIP suites. Plus, the venue underwent a $40 million renovation that was completed in 2019. The project was the first major update to the 30-year-old facility. 

A big part of the renovations focused on the convention center’s outdoor plaza, filled with gardens, seating, room for countless outdoor events – even just a nice spot for lunch.

• 3 Paid Bids to The Summit
• 4 IASF At-Large Bids to The Summit
• 7 At-Large Bids to The Summit
• 3 Paid Bids to The D2 Summit
• 7 At-Large Bids to The D2 Summit
• 1 Paid Bid to The Youth Summit
• 4 At-Large Bids to The Youth Summit
• 2 Paid Bids (one Division I, one Division II) to The Regional Summit
• Top three teams in eligible divisions will earn At-Large Bid to The Regional Summit

The League by Varsity All Star

The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?” 

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star. 

Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value. 

At the end of the season, your five best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank. 

In total, 120 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
