South Coast Freestyle Tribe Takes The Stage At USA

100+ dance teams are a big part of the USA All Star Championship mix this weekend as programs brought their best in hopes of snagging titles and last minute bids to The Summit Championships. One team in particular is ready to put their best performance yet on stage.

I’m so impressed with how far they’ve come in just a short amount of time…

“This is only their third time performing this routine. They learned it in one weekend, and I’m so impressed with how far they’ve come in just a short amount of time,” Coach Stephanie Brown told us on Day 1 in the warm up room. Tribe, from South Coast Freestyle, is a Junior Hip Hop team looking to make waves and earn a bid to The Summit Championship.

This 17 member dance team trains once a week with this team in particular, but most of the girls also dance on other teams at SCF, putting them in the studio more than four times a week! Crossing over from team to team is very common for these girls who range from 6th to 10th grade, and you can see the work they put in each week shine through their performances.

Coach Stephanie, who’s also the team’s choreographer, said the girls had only been performing this routine since January and have seen a lot of success already. With 2nd and 1st place finishes this season, the team is looking to add more gold to their gallery.
