Jersey Pride Will Bring The Crowd At The US Finals

The Jersey Pride All Stars are ready to bring the fun at The U.S. Finals this weekend, with almost their entire gym coming to rock the stage in Virginia Beach.

Jersey Pride got their start in 2006 have attended The U.S. Finals every year! In their 11 years as a program, they have grown to a total of nine teams with about 165 athletes. They have athletes ready to rock the stage in levels 1 through 5.

Jersey Pride will be bringing seven teams to Virginia Beach: Belles, Dandies, Brave, Freedom, Allegiance, Independence, and Glory. “Baby Belles, their exhibition team, and Liberty, their level 5 team that competed this past weekend at Worlds, will be Jersey Pride’s only two teams not competing at The U.S. Finals,” according to coach Lauryn Atkinson.

At many competitions this season, the entire program from Jersey Pride placed in the top three.

This time of the year is my favorite! I love seeing our teams so confident and having the opportunity to work on all the little details of each routine.

Competition season can be tough on the athletes’ bodies and mental toughness.

“We take time at each practice to clean each section, run full routines, and play games or mini competitions to help stay motivated towards the end of the season,” Atkinson said.

With nearly the entire program from Jersey Pride attending The U.S. Finals, the teams will have one of the largest cheering crowds of the event.

The energy and noise from our crowd makes a considerable impact on the team’s performance and just makes it more fun for everyone!

“We don’t focus on winning I when it comes to our season,” Atkinson said. “We really focus and value a zero-deduction routine and even more a clean, confident performance.”

Every team has significantly improved this season, and our athletes individually have grown, become stronger, and continue to become more and more talented!
