The best way to prepare for tomorrow, is by doing your best today.

It’s time to put all of your hard work to the test. All season long you and your team have been preparing for nationals, so what could you possibly do from now until you hit the nationals mat? Follow these simple steps to help make your nationals experience one to remember!

1) Believe in yourself. Feeling “not ready” is normal. Be confident in your training and know that you are more prepared than you think. Nerves are just a sign that you really love what you do. Get excited to take the floor and remember, you got this!

2) Be a good sport. Sometimes not everything works out the way we planned. Keep smiling and recall what is in your control – your sportsmanship. Be kind and encouraging to your teammates and others, they have worked hard to get to this point.

3) Rest up. Nationals is an exciting event which makes it challenging to rest the night before. Getting a good night’s sleep is so important. Adequate sleep will give you the perfect amount of energy to help you power through your performance with focus.

4) Be present. While life goes on throughout competition weekend, it’s key that your mind is set on nationals. Focus your energy on you and your team’s goals – it will pay off in the end!

5) Have fun. In the midst of all the action, don’t forget to take in every moment of this experience. You have prepared to the best of your ability, and now it’s time to make memories that will last a lifetime.
