#UCAstaff Camp Series: Auburn

Hi Guys! My name is Ken and I’m an UCA Mascot Instructor from Alabama!

Auburn University is one of my favorite locations to work camp! Auburn University has been a UCA Camp location for over 15 years! What makes this camp special from other camps is the number of mascots that attend this camp is smaller, so you have more time to work one on one and make a connection with your mascots for the week and I also graduated from Auburn!

My favorite thing about working Auburn is that on Day 2, Aubie The Tiger, comes out and spend the morning with our mascots. They all have a dance off in the front of the entire camp and everyone goes wild! We also go over to Auburn Arena and have a meet & greet with the Auburn’s men & women basketball coaching staff!

Last summer, the high school mascots did a photo shoot with Aubie and was included in his annual “Aubie Calendar” that people from all over the country sees!

This year, I’ve a had a mascot, Victor E. Tiger from Fayetteville High School attend camp for the 4th straight year, and I had the honor of being his mascot instructor all 4 years! It was great to see how much he’d improved over the years and to be his instructor for his last high school UCA camp.

Every UCA camp is amazing, but Auburn will always have a special place in my heart! War Eagle!
