NCA’s Novice High School Division Results Are In!

The results are in! The Novice divisions at the NCA Senior & Junior High School National Championship have wrapped up and the 2018 champions have been crowned.

In the Novice Small High School Division, Tioga High School took the top spot. The Louisiana team made a big statement at this year's national championship with their beautiful jump flexibility and clean pyramid execution. After more than 10 years of competing in this prestigious competition, the Indians have earned their second NCA national championship title!

Brennan High School put their heart out on the mat in the Novice Medium High School Division and walked out of Day 2 with a National Championship! Year after year, Brennan has kept up with their tradition of using fun props in their routines. This year, the squad had some of the most innovative choreography in the Novice Divisions.

Last, but certainly not least in the Novice Large Division, Deer Park High School hit a home run with an impeccable Day 2 routine. This team went all the way in their performance and didn’t look back for one second. You could say these girls really turned their maroon pride into gold!

Winning once at this level is an accomplishment — doing it three times across the season speaks to the talent of each program! Meet Your 2026 West Coast Cup Cheer & Dance Champions

The race for the 2026 West Coast Cup was back on this season for season 3 for cheer teams, plus season 2 of the West Coast Cup race for dance teams! The West Coast Cup is a prestigious honor following all star cheer & dance teams' journey at select West Coast events. To earn the honor of being named a West Coast Cup champion, cheer teams must be the highest scoring D1 or D2  team in their division at these three events: The American Grand - Grand Nationals in Las Vegas, NV, Spirit Sports Grand Nationals in Palm Springs, CA, and the USA All Star Cheer Super Nationals in Anaheim, CA. On the dance side, teams must earn first place at the GSSA Grand Nationals in Bakersfield, CA, Spirit Sports Grand Nationals in Palm Springs, CA, and the USA All Star Dance Super Nationals in Anaheim, CA.
